Over 50% of all 70 GTO production was either some kind of Green or Gold/Yellow/Copper.

My 70 Judge has got to be a one-of-one combo: Granada Gold with Sierra Yellow painted top and Sandalwood interior.

richmas be thankful yours is Palladium Silver.

Oh Man. I would really like to know if the palomino Copper numbers are correct. I know a few people that would like to know the numbers on that color.

Nap

cfPontiac - The total GTO numbers are in the Eric White book. For some reason it seems only 1970 has the production numbers by color.

The numbers that I posted were e-mailed to me some time ago. I don't know where they came from, but suspect that they were from a list that someone was compiling. As I stated, these numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. They might be more useful if used to determine a rough percentage of cars that came in a particular color, rather than an exact number that came in a particular color.

Has anyone checked to see if those numbers jive close with total production figures.

Looks realistic.

Made me think a little, never seen a factory 70 Judge in Burgandy. Has to look good. Seen one 70 Judge in Mint Turq by photo - thought it was a JVert, might have been a dream.

Also have to allow for other "special order color" Cars built. I know of at least three 70 Judges with special ** paint codes. Daytona Yellow would be one of those (**).

It sure would be nice to have a known breakdown on those colors as I have a PHS documented Palomino Copper Judge. It isn't anywhere near done yet but the great pictures that Napster sent me of his clone sure gives me the itch to get it done. That's one awesome looking Judge clone.

I had a chance to buy a '70 burgundy Judge a couple years ago. Only seven of them were produced? Ouch.

Is that a trick question, lol.

Any "non-70 Pontiac" color that was invented would have been (**) Special. Rainbow of selections.

For the ones I have documented:
DrDoug has Hdtp III/4spd/a-c that was some shade of Green (?).
The Daytona Yellow Hardtop IV 4spd that a PY member owns.
And I have a buildsheet for a Hdtp III/4spd that I can't remember what shade was.
Possibly may have others if I checked all 1970 PHS's over again for (**).

Sandlewood would be my first choice interior with the Turq or Burg. Would like to see pix of those someday.

I know of a few of mint turquoise Judges. At least two hardtops and one convert. There is a member on this site that owns a burgundy 70 Judge vert. There is also a burgundy 70 RAIV Judge out there with a dark brown gut. I really doubt whether the Judge color production numbers are that accurate but I can tell you that the total GTO color production numbers shown in the beginning of this thread are from Fred Simmonds in the 80's and they are accurate.
I believe that these estimated Judge color numbers came from a post years back on this forum from someone who claimed to have had a Father (or close relative) that worked on the line and counted all of the Judges and their colors. The first obvious question was "How did he count color production in every plant?" I am sure that a few members out there remember this thread? I think this guy may have been in California???
I love mint turquoise but with a red gut????

I saw a Burgundy '70 Judge at Louisville in '06. Sharp as hell.

I need to get my GT-37 back to the original Rosewood color. That would look fairly similar with the red/white eyebrow stripes.

Mint Turquoise with red guts??

Sounds like Native American jewelry, Turq and Red Corral.
Still would probably give me a headache to look at it for long.

A newer member has an Oshawa 455 4spd GTO MintTurq with Saddle.
Burg with Saddle would look good too.

I remember that too. I don't know if it was Judge Man or someone else. But, I do remember Judge Man.
