Try Rare parts in Stockton, Cal. They rebuild them. Not cheap but less than shipping to the Netherlands probably.

I've got a '69 for sure....so that doesn't help you. I may have a '67-8, I'll look.

what exactly is wrong with it? isn't it just a hunk of metal with no wearable parts? you can ream the holes with this tool (the 7 degree one): http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/2918...d-Reamers.html

Because when they wear it makes the holes too large...A reamer removes material and doesn't add it (it would clean up a burred or gouged hole). I'm sure it does depend on how badly worn it is...that would of course be on 67-8 center links

Couldn't you just get your's splay?? welded and re reamed. I pretty sure that's what rare parts does as they need my non wear piece to rebuild it. Machining in Europe gotta be cheaper and probably better than having it done in the States and shipped to you.

Yep, do that. We use to fix hydraulic pistons the same way. Weld them and then lathe off the excess. It's the same theory here. Weld the holes shut, and I mean a good weld with NO slag mixed in. Find the center and drill your tapered holes per specs. The center link just ties the left and right adjustment sleeves/tie rods, together. The only thing I'm not sure on is, what exactly, the original metal consists of. This will be important in regards to your welding and heat transfer. Some cast metals weaken when superheated. So, find this out first. Hope this helps...

I'm pretty sure it is the same metal used on the spindles which is a fairly hard steel (don't know exactly what content %'s)...and I think it is hardened (Heat treated) so you'd be right on with the caution about changing it's hardness by welding. I think it would be hard for a hobbyist to do this at home - one would need more sophisticated equipment and techniques.

Of course, I could be all washed up.

If you can type, you can wrench!! I think the hardest part would be drilling the tapered hole. They make the bits but man are they expeeeeeeeensive. Anyone? I'd probably shell out the dough for a new, new/old one...
