7041267.

However, what is the build date of your car and what is the date code of the 270 carb? I have heard that late in the model year as certain carb #s got used up, if they didn't have a 267 sitting there they may have used a functionally similar carb 268, 270, 273. Never say never!

If you'd like to sell that 1270, let me know. My auto could use one...

And be aware there are a few of us looking for the 267 carbs for our original 4-speeds also.

Default NOS 7041267

Without question the 7041267 is the correct carb for a 49 state 1971 4 speed T/A. I have owned and seen a number of low mile original 4 speed 71's and all of them had the 267. I will not tell you that NO 71 4 speed T/A's ever left the factory with a 273 because I have seen one or two with them. Pontiac used what they had if they ran out of the correct carbs. I have seen manual transmission carbs on original untouched automatic cars and vise versa. However, it is not correct. Bottom line is the 267 is correct. Check out this NOS 7041267 Rochester master carb that I acquired.
