I've been in contact with him by e-mail about 2 weeks ago. He was going to help me with with my cam pick, but never really got back with me. I think he's very busy with his work.

Larry, I had the same thing happen to me. It was for a carb and it took forever.

But, I did get it eventually and it looks great. The car is put up for winter so I haven't been able to try it out yet though.

Not much help I know, but there it is.

In good faith I have continued to try & contact Karl Boe (AKA GTOKARL) for the past two months w/ no reply?
I will be seeking legal action for satisfaction of the agreement he & I had concerning the modifications & cost of my Accel HEI distributor.
I have saved all of our previous correspondance, so our respective States & US Postal service will be involved.
As I have yet to hear from him, I would caution all other board members about further dealings w/ Karl.

Something must be very wrong for this to happen. I never did any dealings with Karl but was in almost daily e-mail contact with him for awhile. I can see your frustration Larry but I don't think Karl would intentionally screw anybody. Maybe somebody one the forum has his phone number to contact him that way.

Larry,I don't blame you one bit.You obviously know his address,why don't you see if there is a PY member that lives near him and see if that member can do you a favor and pay him a visit? bigpop

I know an awesome distributor guy that is dedicated to Pontiacs. He's done distributors for people all over the country, including myself and several of my friends. I have to agree with the others, I think something isn't right. I sent my HO carb out to Karl and it didn't it came back in what I considered a reasonable amount of time but now I can't remember how long it took! We had a few phone conversations while he was fixing it and we've emailed back and forth for quite a while since. Last email I got from him was probably about a month ago but hadn't heard back.

Karl was more than fair with me and this just doesn't seem like him. I'll have to see if I still have his phone number. Something isn't right with the entire sitaution but I completely understand your concern. Hopefully Karl is ok and comes through for you

I believe there must be something going on? As Karl has/had always been a very straight-shooter in the past, further evidenced by several of y'alls favorable comments. I sincerely hope this can be rectified soon, as I am in urgent need (now 4 1/2 months later) for my distributor.
I'm ready to install the engine & fire it up.

larry he did my dist about a year ago and I had no probs and it was done in a timely manner, I will look latewr to see if I still have his # and if so I'll email it to you, Jim

Larry, i just e-mailed you Karl's phone number. Something must of happened like an accident or a sickness, i hope not, but this doesn't sound like Karl.

OK GUYS, I KNOW HIM PERSONALLY AND WILL TRY TO GO TO HIS PLACE AND SEE WHAT IS GOING ON. HE HAS DONE A BUNCH OF CARB AND DISTRIBUTOR WORK FOR ME OVER THE YEARS AND ALL HAS BEEN PERFECT. I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

Karl finally replied today. Assured me that my distributor was on it's way.

As fate would have it, he has been away attending to family matters. His Mom, Dad, Brother & Siter-in-law were all killed earlier this year.

If y'all know him, call or e-mail w/ your condolences.

I TALKED WITH CARL FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR TODAY. HE HAS GONE THROUGH A TON OF FAMILY/PERSONAL PROBLEMS AND IS DOING HIS VERY BEST TO STRAIGHTEN THEM ALL OUT. ON TOP OF THAT HE IS/HAS STARTED A NEW BUSINESS WHICH IS CONSUMING A LOT OF HIS TIME. BEAR WITH HIM, YOU FOLKS THAT HAVE STUFF IN QUE WITH HIM WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF. AS ALL ABOVE HAVE SAID HE IS A TOTAL STRAIGHT SHOOTER.
