I can show 1 for 1 the opposite if not more, don't even go there...

Thats a great story, but. Had they been lined up side by side at a drag strip and the Cobra won I'd say it meant something. To many variables in the way the story was told to really mean anything. You reckon the Cobra owner would have posted anything other than a "kill" on an SVT website.

It's impossible to continue reading that when SVT Boy claims that GTO's cannot outrun Mach 1's. Please .... What's next, the fart can exhaust?

Well, someone on this board does own a Mach that turns 12.99 straight from the factory with no mod's. Any '04 takers?

I'll put any stock '04 GTO (even the automatic) up against any stock Mustang built during the longest continuous production period of the legendary Mach 1 by Ford.
I'll even handicap the GTO by having me drive it (I've got one days experience on a dragstrip), and I'll let you drive the Mach 1 (rumor has it you know what you're doing...
Head to head, Danny. And I'll beat you every time...

Confidence and fact.
You could beat Danny every time under the same conditions, also.
And I am confident that Danny is very good on the drag strip.
There wasn't a factory stock Mach 1 built in that time frame that could touch any stock factory GTO ever built. Even the '74 GTO with the 350 and an automatic could blow the doors off those Mach 1's.

So, Champ, let me get this right. You will race a bone stock 12.99 Mach One (2004 Model I must add) that run's in hot temperatures with mass amounts of humidity with your automatic '04 and win the 1/4 mile race every time, right?
Forget the lights, just plain 1/4 mile ET (so old folks like us can fall asleep at the lights )....
Are you absolutely positive pure stock '04 ?...
You sure?
PS: The only Ford I own is a F250 Supercrew Diesel, so it is not me...

Danny
Read what I wrote. I am absolutely positive that you couldn't beat me, even though in equal cars you'd blow me away...
There is just no way that ANY stock Mustang built during the longest continuous period of Mach 1 production could beat any stock GTO ever built.

...Apparently your username was not earned at the dragstrip if you think like that....

Champ, which years where those?
For those that haven't understood the implications of what they read.
And, I believe you're right, btw.

What year is this bone stock Mack I that runs 12.99 at the track? That would be some news I would expect to be plastered all over the automotive magazine world ... since to the best of my knowledge that car simply doesn't exist.

Lee who lists his location as Texas says his Mach 1 will do 12.99. Click find and search for 12.99. Champ was playing with words. "longest continuous" isn't a late model. He took lessons from mr-gto.
