Not something you see everyday, a 455 in a Chevelle.
My, my, what would the bowtie crowd think?

...and not one underhood shot.
Did they put BBs in any Chevelles other than the SS? Pretty nice looking Chevy IMO.

Yes they put BB's in Chevelles and Malibus that were NOT SS's. Early '70's. I personally have seen a couple back in the day and read articles about them. Mostly 402's.

It would be worth buying it just to cage it, make it a barely streetable drag car and make sure that all the Chevy guys knew that it had a Pontiac. I wouldn't ordinarily use nitrous but I think I'd have to in that one just to make it as fast as I could.

Doing that would increase the Drag racing fun factor by a huge factor.

Oh, and it looks like a decent car.

The price is suspiciously low for a dealer. Also - the lack of underhood shots and details (transmission? what works, what doesn't? where's the rust?) makes me really suspicious.

I does make you wonder....So many folks see an engine other than a Chevy engine IN a Chevy and just take a stab at what they think it is....Olds, Buick, Pontiac...all the same to them.

Got 40G. kicking around? You could own "Americas Largest Sports Car".
