shaker scoop door
I have a nos early scoop that tonight I noticed it had what looked like a very thin piece of black foam stuck on the scoop flap. it was peeling around the edges. I peeled it off. it has a adhesive back and is very thin. it is shaped perfectly to fit the door. you can tell its die cut. it actually cushioned the door when it closes. after I tool it off it exposed a couple of holes in the door that it was covering. you can see the holes in one pic. it looks like they could be moved inward for a different bracket or t bar to mount. anyone seen this before?

It's a service scoop made after 1974 when they started using the same door as the GTO scoop

from the looks of the scoop it is an NOS over the counter replacement made later also. looks like the tabs where the scoop bolts to the aircleaner were welded on where the early scoops used on cars were all one piece.
I have a couple of these I picked up over the years.
