Default Car you've always wished you could drive?

What would it be?
In many years of being around cars daily, I have worked on and driven dozens of different and rare performance cars. A 1989 Lamborghini Countach, a few Ferrari's, the last L88 convertible Corvette built, RA IV GTO, W-30's, Stage I Grand Sports, 440 and 426 'Cudas, Superbirds, R/T Dodges, '56 T-birds and Corvettes, Trans Am's, first gen Z-28, SBC '23 T-bucket, '40 Ford Coupe. Two weeks ago was a 4 speed, tri-power 64 Goat. No disappointment there at all. It rocks!!
Well, today was that special day. For a few weeks now I've had a car in my shop that had an engine related failure. It's the exact kind of car I've wanted to get behind the wheel of since I was a teenager.
Well, today was my day. It was only for a few miles, but man, was it worth it!
The car, a 1967 Corvette roadster, 427/400 with a 4 speed and side pipes. I finally drove my ultimate dream car. And to top that off I am building another 427/4 speed roadster for another customer!

What is your ultimate ride?

I'd like to drive something with a crash-box manual some day. One for road racing, not the Liberty drag kind.

As for what car, it'd probably be a GT40; an early one or a kit car. I like cars uncivilized and hard core racer. Something that puts my fear of God on the front burner.

'68 RAII GTO or Firebird. While we're just 'wishin'...I'll substitute 'own' for 'drive'.

I have driven a few of my dream cars. But I have yet to drive: any RA-IV, Hemi, or Buick Stage 1. I am always looking for the opportunity though...

Funny thing - my '64 GTO is my ultimate dream car (wanted one forever). Now I own one but have never driven one. Time to get to work!

(BTW - I have driven a lot of GTO's. Mainly '65-'67s. So I know how the '64 will/should drive).

I'd also like to drive a Pantera.
Worked at a Ford dealer right out of high school, the former owner of the dealership had a 71 I think, that he let one mechanic work on. Got to sit in it, that was it.

This:

One way or another I will drive a sprint car, hopefully with a Pontiac Stratostreak V8, even if I have to build my own. Currently at age 64 I need to get moving on this part of my bucket list soon.

Yez....good pals with a Sprint car driver who built his own Sprint car, engine and won with it. Says those cars are the highest HP/ weight ratio, like instant wheel spin at any speed, instant handling, and about a month's long adrenalin memory-response after the racenight.

Reminds me of Wile E Coyote doing the body-buzz-walk every 3 steps.

Would like to drive a '69 or '70 4 speed GTO with a Ram Air V engine installed. Malcolm McKellar's OHC 421 Grand Prix would be another one. Would also like to drive a Model J Duesenberg.
