My brother spotted that too. I was stunned that he made the connection.

Wow, I was watching the show in the background tonight while doing something else and thought the same thing. I wouldn't have thought any more about it unless I saw this thread. Good eye!

Speaking of the Walking Dead.. does anyone else think the show is really boring? I think they killed one or maybe two zombie's tonight... I've tried to give the show a chance because my son likes it but I really don't get the attraction. It really seems to move at a snails pace and then you still have to add all of the commercials.

Last week there was a T/A on the highway with the walker herd. I don't remember the color but I do remember while we were filming that it was odd to have since they like having crappy set cars.

I spotted the trailer with the Bandit mural right way...wondering what's going on? Someone in production is a big Smokey fan I guess because that T/A was no accident either.
It would have been even better if they put the T/A in the same scene with the trailer, that would have clicked with allot more people.

Will there be a walker wearing a cowboy hat & red shirt next??

I've tried it as well, a couple times. It's just not interesting to me, I don't get the appeal.

I thought that was pretty cool, to bring that into the show..

It was a pretty boring episode though other than that.

They need to do an episode where the guy with the cross bow scores a barn find of a First Gen convertible bird and goes on a rampage

I spotted the trailer the moment it appeared on screen. I'm amazed that it is just
sitting in a junkyard. Somebody needs to restore it. I wonder what happened to the truck?

Read somewhere else that this isn't the exact one from the movie, this is one used for just this type of stuff. Supposedly the mural on this one is close to the one used in the movie but not 100%

No there won't. Either your a shirtless walker or full winter clothes walker. No jewelry or tattoos either

I knew that trailer the moment I saw it...and the T/A from last week's episode. Walking Dead is our family show. The wife and kids laughed at me and rolled their eyes at my suggesting that it was a Smokey and the Bandit easter egg for loyal Pontiac followers.

Hey, remember the GTO Judge (clone) that the bank robbers rolled over in the Season One opening episode?

The whereabouts of the trailer from the movie is not currently known. There are 5 complete Kenworth and Hobbs Reefer unit trailer clones known to exist right now. The trailer from that show is a created prop, not an original. If you look closely, there are several differences. It paid great homage to the film, and to Georgia!

I saw the truck while watching and said to myself that reminds me of smokey and bandit truck. Then confirmed on the talking dead. Pretty cool to have in the show IMO even if they are in in the DC area now.

The trailer skirt is an anachronism. Good eye. I've watched every episode, it has slowed down lately although a week ago they did kill 300+ zombies by dragging a cable through a herd between two cars. Then there was an explosion. So the slow episodes build toward a violent climax. I can't stop, I've been a zombie fan ever since I saw Night of the Living Dead ('68) 43 years ago.
