Default 1968 Firebird Drive Train

From my recently purchased 1968 Firebird, I will be removing the original running motor with the YJ block, 9.2:1 "17" heads and the 2-speed auto trans. in a few weeks.

Motor is missing the original intake carb and air cleaner, instead wearing an Edelbrock intake and Holly 4-barrell. The motor runs fine and does not smoke, I can record video of it running if it helps.

Really have no idea of the value, suggest $1,000. Please PM me if interested. Location is metro Atlanta.

Hi. Noticed your engine/trans for sale. Problem is I live in AZ. Any chance you would be willing to ship it. I wonder how much that would cost. Anyway, we have a 67 firebird with a 6 cylinder and looking to upgrade to a 400 motor. You mentioned you might have a video of the engine running? Thanks, steve

I believe we could crate and stretch wrap the motor and you could contract with a LTL carrier to ship it. My guess is a cost of up to $600. Best if you called carriers with an estimated crate size and weight to get some quotes. I suggest you just take the motor as a 2-speed auto trans is not worth shipping. Ship from zip is 30340.

Default UShip

I had a motor shipped via UShip and it was very reasonable. Put her on a tire on a pallet and your ready to go!
