I got to sit in that truck and talk to a couple of the engineers involved in the project at this years MATS show. Basically they told me that they got to spend a pile of money for a concept vehicle that will not have a practical use in our lifetimes.
It was still pretty cool though.

Well it looks cool but what a waste of money. If they had that pile of money to make a vehicle that is pointless then why not donate the money?

My guess. Some Idiot reporter asked the trooper when the last time he was logged as "sleeper berth" and got an answer of more than 48 hours ago. Probably never asked about "Off Duty".

Have you ever actually looked up how much charity money is donated by Walmart?

They have electronic signs and change the speed limits depending on road, traffic & weather conditions. They've had them for many years.

Can we get please?

I was hoping to get some feedback on the power system, it's completely foreign to me.

I'm not sure about that truck, BUT, at some point in the near future these manufactures need to go with diesel electric.

Instead of feeding a 15 litre diesel all day long they could run maybe a 7 litre diesel at optimum sped and run a genpack/electric motor, I would think it much more efficient. They have some Hybrids out there, but all are at the small end of the scale Class3/5

Several places where construction and severe congestion take place. Try being the ONLY one trying to drive the 45 mph speed limit. I don't recommend it.
