- 274 camshaft
- roller rockers
- Performer intake
- D port E heads, ported
- BOP mains and oil pan seals

My concerns are:
1. Don't know anything about the machine work
2. 557 block
3. SIR rods
4. Press pin rods, no going back
5. The heads were purchased bare but are now assembled... which means they would have required a valve job
6. Quality of port work
7. If it's a XE cam, Cliff will hate me
Will he part with the d-port e-heads separately?

My .040 over 455 (464 ci) pulled 390 hp and 512 lbft torque through stock (non-ported) exhaust logs (A-body) with 2.5" Pypes mandrel bent head pipes. Heads are stock small valve 1970 #15's (new valves & springs) with a Summit 2802 cam (224/234/114). The pressed-in rocker studs were pinned (like in the old days) with crimp nuts to zero lash the lifters. I use the stock un-ported cast iron intake and 7040264 Q-jet. The compression is 10.0 to 1 and runs well on pump 93 with the timing set at 34* total all in by 2500 rpm. I use a 10* vacuum canister for a little vacuum advance for cruising (44* total at 2500 rpm).

So Id love to do a stock looking 440 with RA exhaust and turn 6500 or better... possible? Would consider mixing fuel to do it with iron heads.
