Tachometer
I was thinking of adding an aftermarket tach to replace the clock in my 1967 LeMans with OHC 6. I ordered one from year one 8months ago and they still cannot tell me when it will be delivered. I cannot find another source for the tach with the 6500 redline. I have seen V8 ones with the 5500 redline. Does anyone gave a source for the 6500 redline tach? Do I need one of the tach filters for it to work with a pertronix ignition?

so its a true in dash replacement?
I see why a 6500RPM redline and 6 cyl firing would be an issue, pretty low volume.Factory ones are out with anything but points. I need to do some investigating for what tach was used for TI and CD ignition.

parts book says 66 TI and all years previously with TI,use a different tach.
However it doesnt list a different tach for 67 CD ignition.

That would be correct. TI ignition toggles the positive side of the circuit to a power transistor while points and most aftermarket ignitions have constant power to the coil and toggle the ground. TI factory tachs are extremely rare. I had one in a 66 2+2 and amazingly it worked with the TI box I rebuilt. Petronix should work with a conventional tach.
