I couldn't bring myself to paint over that beautiful carbon!

It be cool to build a bird with carbon fenders, nose, hood, doors, trunk lid, and spoilers. Paint the shell black and leave all the carbon exposed.

What about the roof in CF?

Well we'll be taking things a step further than that starting in May-June ;-)... The build will be called "Ultimate Warrior" and to this point we have decided to build a 98% Carbon early second gen TA so to speak...

The molds completed to date include the full front clip, the doors, the roof (inner and outer panels less A pillars), the A-post and outer rocker combined as a single piece, the dash pad, top of cowl, the Dutchman's (or spacer below rear window), the Trunk lid, and the center spoiler.... Molds to complete prior to end of July include 70-73 quarters, a modified full floor, tail panel, custom firewall, cowl sides, custom trunk floor area including drops..

The goal here is to create a (or at least attempt to create) a 2,500lbs fully dressed TA with full redesigned floor. It will be computer modeled/designed for best "overall Aerodynamics possible within a relatively stockish appearing exterior"

That's sick! So full CF roof, quarters, floor, and tail panel?

How do you bond the CF roof to the steel A pillars?

I don't know how the OP plans on attaching the roof panel but the Ring Brothers seam the roof like on modern cars.

Here is a shot of Blizzard, a Ring Brothers Mustang owned by a local guy.

There are specific adhesives that are designed to bond properly prepped Carbon to Steel. They are so strong that the panel would need to break on either side of the joint as the joint is stronger than the combined materials...

Knowing that I am looking to build an extremely quick car with a great deal of power, I will be fully blind caging the car as well.....
