74 Firebird Quarter Panels
Is there any value to 74 quarter panels that are in great shape. I know there one year only. Whats market price for a set of quarters off a 74 car with a tiny bit of rust.

I Would say 1,000 to 1,500 depending on the rust and where it's at. Like you said one year only. Somebody will want them.

do you really think that much? the only problem with the one is its rusted on the bottom and would just take one lower patch for it.

If somebody is going to spend the time OR $$$ to replace a FULL GM style quarter panel, they WON't likely be interested in one that needs rust repair.

Full length aftermarket patch panels are horrible things. There is a bit more work to doing the full quarter replacement - it's a prick of a job to drill out all of the spot welds, but it's worth it. The nice thing about a used 1/4 cut is that you pickup the outer wheelhouse and trunk extension as part of the deal. If you're cutting these from a donor car, make sure you cut well past the factory seams (I've seen a couple of 1/4's that had been cut short, most often at the roof seam).
I searched high and low for good used 74 quarters and couldn't find any that were in good condition, and close (shiping from the west coast was expensive). NOS 74 quarters are rare as hens teeth and hellishly expensive. As 2manyT/A's says, the rust may put some off - I still think you'd find a buyer fairly easily. When I was doing my searching full 1/4 cuts in usable condition were fetching $500 to $750 a side, and that was 4 or 5 years ago.
