Coming together nice! Can't wait for the dyno results. Is that cam the special grind by Mark and Dan?

Not sure Mike, This is all Dan has sent me on it.

"I'd like to use a cam similar to the old one, basically a high lift version of the Pontiac 744 cam (Ram Air III stick cam). It has about 10-12 degrees more duration than the stock 068 cam (measured at .050" lift). It would match the higher compression ratio that it will have (9.5)."

Im going with Dan's suggestions since he's been there done that. Besides he seen me drive and has an idea on what I'll be subjecting this build to.

Some great motors have come out of that shop - quite a few in cue also!

Here's a Canyon Copper 71 stick car going cheap up in Ontario. Two page window sticker and lots of original paperwork.

That ones been for sale for quite a while.....seem to recall seeing it go through ebay a few times last year, maybe?

Think it may even have been posted here also (shark tank?)

Appears to be a decent car...and priced to sell.

Nice Steve...

Aside of the purchase price agreed upon. How much estimated money to customs would it cost to get it back in the US.

I bought my dash out of Washington State (I thought) until the bill came from Global Logistics (Canada) when I was restoring my car. The dash wasn't cheap and the additional charge from them added to the bill.. The dash was flawless though. I guess it doesn't get that hot in the summer there.

I think the one you are referring to is a 1974 SD that is the exact twin to this car.

The customs duties weren't that much if I recall? Maybe around $800 including the broker's fees. I think some of that had to do with the fact that the car came from the US originally and the duties were paid back in 1971. The shipping cost is the big expense.

That car is just about the perfect combo! (If it didn't have that godawful vinyl top!)

HO, 4spd, Rally gauges !! Love the car...hate the roof, that's a deal breaker for me.
I factor in a re-paint to the price because that roof has come off. Hmmm, it's still worth it

I 've been looking at this car for a while, surprise it did not sell the last time around. 455HO 4 speed rock crusher, #'s matching, what's not to like. I agree about the top. it's gotta go, or at least change to black??
I wish it was closer to TX. to look at it in person.

A local guy I know owned the car before it went up north. He offered it to me about 5 years ago and I could not get over the top. Nice car but it will need a repaint. If anyone is interested in the car I know alot about it.

Looking good. Love the '72 cast into the water pump!

Are you going to dyno the engine before installation in the car?
