I recently found this picture of Fred L Carlson Pontiac Cadillac of Salt Lake City on line.

Any idea what make the red sports car is? My 1st thought was a Nash Healey, that's not correct.

Allard? Allards were Cadillac powered.

An Allard is not a bad thought, but the closest model I came up with was a K3, and that model does not have the body dip at the doors, and the grill isn't the same (but they seemed to make at least 3 different grill styles? But it could be a one off or a kit car.

Notice the sign above says USED CARS. As a guess I would say the photo was taken in the mid 50s. So the red sports car may not be Cadillac powered.

Then I ran across this Woodhill Wildfire. A kit car built between 1952 to 1958 powered by a Willys four cylinder.

Ed That model is the closest I have seen so far! But the dash and rear 1/4 shape does not match IMO, but it could be a model year variation as many small manufactures bodies varied quite a bit car to car and customer preference. The page says the photo dates from 1953 and the other cars seem to be 53 or earlier models.

Thanks for the idea I have heard of Woodhill but I am not familiar with the Brand

Ed after doing a little research, you are probably correct in it being a Woodhill of some type, the time line fits, I found out the maker was trying to sell west coast dealers Franchises. The color is correct because most of them seemed to use a red paint. After looking closely at the picture I think the grill does match the car in your picture in both shape, and with the body colored spear down the middle.
I still don't think the shape of the rear fenders behind the rear wheels, or the dash board upper shape match the car in your picture. But it could be model year, or just model difference, or just a trick of the lighting and angle.
Also the Dealerships location in Salt Lake City lines up with the Southern California location of the Woodhill production site.

Great detective work Ed, I think you nailed it!

I did some more staring at the interweb and found that it's not a Woodhill but a Woodill Wildfire.

https://www.motortrend.com/vehicle-g...adster-review/

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodill_Wildfire

https://www.makesthatdidntmakeit.com/woodill

The Motortrend article states differences in the cowl design and different taillights used. And the vast majority of them were sold as kits.

Cool stuff thanks for posting. This is one of very few vehicles that I have searched and found that Bring a Trailer had no listing on.

It may be of interest on another site I frequent this picture was just posted yesterday. Showing one going thru US customs on its way to or from the Paris car show. It has a one piece windshield, the same dash/cowl with 2 humps, and a different grill.

One of my older sisters Friends her name was Sally, I used to annoy her by always calling her Mustang Sally. I don't think a picture can scream 1975 much more than the one with Sally in it!
The other picture is just a nice color shot of a 1953? Pontiac with a light up Hood ornament on the street.

Did Sally work at Shoneys or Western Sizzlin' Steakhouse ?
The pants suit looks reminiscent

I don't remember where "Sally" worked, I was just the annoying little brother of her friend, I would have been around 16 when this picture was taken.
