PCV Valve grommet
Does anyone know the best place to purchase the replacement rubber grommet on the PCV where it attached to the crankcase filter? Either that or the best way to create your own? This is a '76 Trans Am 400 and rubber is old and worm out so I want to replace it.

I've always used a short piece of heater hose for that.
What fits the pipe has to be stretched on the filter. Not too bad with fresh warm hose and a little lube. Clay |

That's what I used. 3/4" ID heater hose.

Ever been to an auto parts store? In the Dorman "Help" section, they have every rubber grommet size imaginable. Autozone, O'Reilly's Advance all carry the same stuff.

Might hinder your search if looking for a PCV grommet since the line you have pictured is a vent tube. Looks like Ames doesn't carry it, and I'd just use a piece of heater hose as suggested above.

I’m got a nOS chunk, it wasn’t cheap, it has the correct ribs. Dont use heater hose. It ain’t 2 quid though for a pic, lol
It’s not called pvc grommet, that is in your valley.

so is this actually about the circled part in the image (vent tube piece of hose connecting to the air cleaner filter), or is it about the actual Positive Crank Vent rubber in the valley pan?
I would like to source a couple of those, as well as a couple of the rubber valve cover pieces that the vent tube goes through, preferably some sort of search that doesn't require me buy parts from another country, several hundred miles away.

ages ago I bought several valve cover ones, and all were the wrong one.

I had to relook up the valve cover number as I had posted the wrong one at first. OE was 9776721. And the PCV grommet goes in the valley pan.

I figured I might as well update this;
I ordered a valley pan grommet (Dorman #42054), and what I thought was a couple valve cover grommet's (WVE 2P1003 {#1231486, 29105, PCG103}). To my dismay, these valve cover grommet's are NOT the correct part. I'm guessing they are mis-listed Chevy small block valve cover grommet's. This is a real bummer - but not worth enough to bother with trying to return them. I'm chalking this up as a little bit of bad luck.

That's the Dorman 42061 piece. Couldn't they order the Dorman 42055 grommets?

I did a search for "1970 GTO; 6.6litre" and this was the one listed;
I did an entirely different search today and did find the dorman 42055; I am considering this as just bum luck - I took a chance, and it didn't work out. Hopefully my post prevents someone else from buying the wrong part.

But that was why I changed my earlier post. I should of had the correct numbers listed (even OE) so you didn't have to GOOGLE anything.
