I'm beat. 12 hour day getting stuff finished and loaded on the trailer. Time is short and the luxury of me and MPD doing most of the assembly is a pipe dream. This one is on Darrell and my banker...

Me and MPD got the rear axle assembly finished today. I think it looks great. The only things that are not natural finish are the axle tubes and backing plates. Everything else is raw steel treated with RPM. It and the front subframe assembly are now loaded on the trailer and ready to make the journey to Supercar. There is also a ton of parts including the the radiator, shroud, condensor, inner fenders, driveshaft, duct work, ....To say the least the truck and trailer are loaded.

Here's a few pictures....

Bob, you have done an outstanding job along with MPD. Thank you for taking the time to document and post pics. I have enjoyed your progression and anxiously await completion of the Black Car. I'm always excited to see what you have finished every time I see there's a new post on this thread. Congrats on a job well done!

E-Track looks great Bob - just in time for the load to Darrell!

Are you and MPD going to do the interior or will you hand that off to Darrell as well?

Well, at long last, we finally have some Starlight Black paint. Looks great and you can't imagine how excited I am. Really appreciative of all the efforts by Darrell and the Supercar crew.

Well, this certainly explains the sudden shortage of coal and associated price increase...Bob's productivity on his real job just tanked and it has been reported that he daydreams during conference calls, has changed his ring tone to "Back in Black" and chants "Wax On - Wax Off" as he stares at samples of black coal in the office.

Hang in there Bob! It's looking awesome!

How true is that! I go to meeting and show pictures of my car...it's an obsession and we have it to share.

Hah. There's a little truth to that. Too much daydreaming and parts ordering, and too many late nights and early mornings in the garage. Following your post I also changed my Darrell ringtone to Back in Black.

The downside is that I'm on a big work related travel jag that is going to last through late October. 3 days last week, 4 days this week, leave Saturday for a 5 day work related Elk hunt with customers (I know tough duty), 10 day trip in mid-October to India and Spain.

The trailer and truck are loaded with every part I have except the seats and restored wheels and tires. MPD and his pal Roger are delivering them to Supercar tomorrow. Darrell is busting his ass and this thing just may make it to the finish line in time for MCACN.

I appreciate all the kind words, help and well wishes. Thanks

I'll take the elk hunting trip for you Bob! Free you up for more important things!
