Well, stood by you and not high bidder...unless he was high bidder

I've been on the other side of a mans word.

Pretty sure I have a picture in my phone of that car leaving your house Gary.

The white 68 he has in the shop was behind it on the trailer - some Oldsmobile Pace Car thing in front.

A last minute snipe bid was placed to ensure that there was no high bidder left thinking that he won the auction. The seller then went through with the the offer that was made a few days before. He may have wanted the auction to go all the way to the end to gauge the market conditions because he has ate least 4 more 70-72 O port cars that he is thinking about selling.

Damn, you guys are very savvy, this is a strategy us mere mortals have never even thought of. I've traded horses, cars, guns & pocket knives. I'm just shut'n up and listening, carry on gentlemen.

very interesting Formula, looks like it is '71 455HO in Rosewood Poly with Ivory deluxe interior and a white vinyl roof....very rare color for a Firebird much less an HO. Will be interesting to see if it had ram air or not but looks to be highly optioned like most of the 455HO cars seem to be:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pontiac-Fire...m=131894532245

also just noticed screens in those snouts...

Default 1971 455 HO Tune

I'm looking for help and tips getting my stock 71 455 HO, tuned. The car was sitting for a long time, I'm having the carb rebuilt and draining all the old gas. I will do all the basics, cap, wires, plugs, that kind of thing.
What fuel should I be running and how about plugs and timing advance. Thx for any help

I would Humbly suggest:
1. Current fuel has alcohol, which burns hotter than previous fuel, a ac44 should be the Hottest spark plug you use.
2. Run a 170 thermostat, for same reasons as above.
3. Should be able to run a 12 degree advance with a 32 max ( just a base line range here)
4.Check your vacuum advance with a mighty vac if its been sitting a long time
5. Check your brake booster check valve as well ( vacuum leaks)
6. Check all vacuum hoses
7. Grab some ZINC additive for the oil, and dont use anything with 5 weight ( example 5-20) use a 10-xx oil
Good luck!!

Glove box Door?
Front sway bar..?? Hello??
Love to see under the air cleaner

This car was built to flip, so its buyer beware . I like it but white hides A LOT..

depending on price and what you wanted to do with it, all could be fixed

wrong spoiler tip on driver side. (hate it when they put 2 different type on)
no seat belts installed (not sure if even legal to drive like that)
wrong radiator support
later hood

but looks like a solid driver car.

Plus wrong wheels, too many poorly painted interior plastic parts, already peeling.
Why is there a screw-in front spring spacer on one side only?
IMHO, it has the feel of something hurriedly thrown together.
