Default MODERATOR PLEASE HELP!!!!

Moderator, I am having a heck of a time logging into my account, Is it possible to check if it is corrupted?
(I dont know how but I finally got logged on and came in here to ask a question),

I log in and the site shows I am logged in but I cannot post new threads or respond to existing threads.
I brings up the log in page again, I also cannot get into the reset password page.

I can see my control panel and I can edit every other feature except the password.
It tells me I need to resister or log in to acess that page.

I have had a new password number sent to my email and I logged in with it but now I cannot change the number to a new password.

I accessed the forum through the main PY home page, I set my cookies to allow all.
It does this on 2 different computers, work and home, PY is the only web site forum I have trouble acessing.

What can I do or check to fix this I'm worried I'll be stuck with a password that expires in 24 hours.

Thanks for the help!

Uh....I think I might have got it, I had to hit refresh at the top to get past the log in screen to reset my password.

Is there a check list of preffered browser settings for windows XP and Internet explorer?
I'd like to correct the issues with my browser if thats where my login problem is comming from.

Based on your first post, I think you may have a problem with your login cookie. If you've visited the PY Forums using an old web address, it can cause problems with the login cookie. Please try the following to correct and issues with your login cookie:

When you go to the forums, What is the address that shows at the top of your
browser.

Does it start with: http://216.178.81.108/forums/...
or does it start with: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/forums/...

If you have any bookmarks or favorites that use the http://216.178...
address, you are likely to have problems. Please delete anything that starts
with this address.

Also, please go to this page:
http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/.../mycookies.php
it will show you what cookies our Forums has placed on your computer. You
will probably see 8-12 cookies in the list. Please check the checkbox on the
left of each cookie and click the button that says "Delete My Cookies". When
the screen refreshes it should show all of the cookies that are on your system
now. Most likely you will only have lost one or two cookies from the list but
every cookie has been refreshed (which is what we wanted).

Now please close all of your browsers and open a fresh one. Go to
http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/forums/ and try to login again.

Let me know, how it goes and if you have any other problems.

Thanks
Steve Craig

I'm wondering if the refresh you seem to need to do has something to do with the setting on your browser that regulates how often it checks for new versions of a web page.
Click Tools > Internet Options > Browsing History: Settings
The first thing on the window that opened should be "Check for newer versions of stored files". If you have it set to NEVER, it will load every page once but never again. That setting can make other static internet pages load much faster in your browser but on pages like the Forums, it won't display any changes made to the page since you first visited the page (or hit refresh on the page).
That setting might not show you as logged in, even if you are, because the first time you visited that page, you weren't logged in.
Does that help your issue?
