Here is my 1969 Firebird Sprint Convertible.

The color is Windward Blue (code 87) and this firebird is equipped with the OHC6 engine, 3-speed hurst manual transmission, HD shocks & springs, Sway bar, low restriction exhaust, low restriction air cleaner w/chrome lid, and 4bbl carb.

In 1969 there were 1,979 Sprint Firebird's produced which breaks down to 1,712 coupes and 267 convertibles. Of the 267 convertibles there were 213 manual and 54 automatic cars.

Here is my Bird. Original Burgundy Color. 505 IA2 Block.( Pump Gas)Edelbrock Heads and intake. Strelka Built Valve covers. 400 turbo trans.
Dana 60 rear end, 3.73 Gears. Spotts super 400 hood. Roll cage. This was an original 400 4spd car when I purchased it. 10.82 1/4 mile on street tires.

I also just purchased a 68 & 69 trying to replace them.

Replacements for the 2 i sold last year, the 68 will be a 400/4 speed also paint and 400 hood/tach. The 69 (wifes) is a 400 car currently in the body shop and should look awesome with the 400 hood/tach setup.

Colin , curious ,which gauges are on the console and what make? Never saw that set up before...

hey Bjorn,
the guages are made by SW? amp/oil pressure- I also have not seen this before I figured it to be after market but looks good.

Here's mine, just after new quarters installed, paint & body done, with efi, now finally the blower.
462, 10-71, electromotive efi, th400, gear vendors, 9" 4.56 spool.
Waiting for track to open for times with the blower, was 462 rwhp ran 11.42 @ 118 with e-heads on motor on pump gas 91 oct., changed to 7f6 to drop compression for now until new motor is done.

Thanks. Sometimes I enjoy my car more when it is on trailer because of the overheating problems I have had! I have some good racing photos but cannot figure out how to get them to size limit.

Actually ,that really helps him find it on the parking lot when the HALF group is out ,you know ,we ARE that many!

we have a nice big group that cruise together.... You`d just wish you had friends like that!?!!
