Default Old Picture and Birthday

I was going through some old stuff when I ran across the January 30, 1962 edition of Look magazine. At the back of the magazine was a four page article on a prestigious North Hollywood HS girls club (the Laudettes) and their male mascot. The page was too large for my scanner, but I captured the complete image that has my wife in it. She is the young lady being carried across the hot street. The funny thing is that her feet were like asphalt back then - the hot pavement did not bother her. This picture was probably taken about 3 weeks before I met her (about July of 1961). The young lady on the right side of the screen was the girl friend of the club's mascot.

B/T/W, today would have been her 69th birthday.

Well done Mr. Taylor, very well done. Nice looking "catch" Her feet sure are DIRTY in that photo ! I guess one could say that she was also wearing "Hot Pants".

Hope all is well with you and your family, really hope you are doing well. Take Care.

Unfortunately she passed away 9 years ago. I also found a Prom picture I will post here and in the other thread. This was in June of 1962.

Nine years now. Time does march on. I remember how you recounted the tragic event at your home a day or two afterward. Maybe I saw it on C.P., but it was something that left a deep impression with me, for various reasons.
I hope you and your son and daughters are doing well these days, Jim. If I get to SoCal again some day, i would be honored to meet you.
