Default 77 T/A help identifying this part

My gas tank has two strips of felt like material in the tank channels. Is it still sold? What is it for? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You could cut up some strips of old inner tube or double up some straps of roofing felt.

Default Nothing I can't learn

It sucks being a neophyte regarding vehicle restoration. but I can always count on this forum for help. Thanks for the swift response to what must appear to be foolish questions.

I put a sheet of dynamat on the top of the tank, anti-squeak, anti-vibration, and anti-tank drone.
