Default anyone have fuel line header clearance problems with this small fuel line

the small line runs from the main line to pump, it looks like it will be right next to my header if I could even get it to go in there. looking for options, not opposed to rerouting, has anyone had this problem. 75 trans am

I have a 1978 Trans Am with a pontiac 400 (6x heads) stroked to 468. I run Hedman 28150 headers (1 3/4" primary tubes with 3" to 2.5" ball socket flange). I replaced my factory main fuel line with Right Stuff replacement fuel line (stock 3/8" steel). If I recall correctly the driver's header is pretty tight with the fuel line. I have not had any issues / problems. What headers are you running ? Primary tube size? I also replaced my engine mounts (that bolt to subframe). Possibly ? if mounts are a bit worn that could affect clearance slightly?

You can always buy some heat wrap from DEI. I bought their wrap for my remote oil lines that cross over my passenger header. Nice stuff. "DEI Vapor Block Fuel Line Sleeves" on Summit

I run high heat insulation on them. It's the stuff you see on spark plug boots.

You can get it in large sections by the foot.

I have the same problem and don't like it. I am going to reroute it under the frame instead of up and over.
