2021 Ford Escape update; website said download if you had Wi-Fi, but there was a glitch in the software, so a download to the Escape wouldn't take. The download had to be accomplished through a computer, off-loaded to a thumb drive, and then applied to the vehicle's USB port. Engine had to be idling during update. Not stated on website was that the switch to prevent idle for more than 30 minutes, or the engine would shut off had to be disabled. With all the glitches, I spent about 8 hours on the update; but it does work now.

Hopefully, Tesla's download functions better.

Jon, When I did the Hydrogen Bus program for the USA and Canada, we had
the capability to upload software to the buses while they "were on the fly".

That was 20+ years ago.

Telsa causing deaths and crashing into buildings. We never had a single
software remote control issue on the Buses.

Either you know how to program properly or you don't.

It's like comparing Apples and... Orange Cats.
How many buses were used in that program?

Kilmer is Often full of his own BS.
That said, a company in NY is building a HUGE Lithium battery recycling center. OF course the state will tax it out of existence , but...
Battery issues are nearly 100% related to a bad BMS. can easily have good, safe batteries and cheap ass china crap to control them.
Thats whats out there in many cases.
