Who cares. Not a Pontiac so who gives a rip. They defiled the car.
Last night going home at 2 AM I seen a 69 Le Mans with 2 of the small K&N spread out air filters sticking up, No hood. So I pulled in and walked up to the car and seen a BBC under the hood. Nothing special, 2 plane intake.
I asked him if he was the one that put the engine in. He said yes all proud. I shook my head and walked away saying "bring it out to the track".
I hope he shows up. We will line up to embarrass him.

Did not intend to turn this thread mean. I appreciate all the work that went into the car the OP posted, I really do. I just wish he would have wrapped it all up in a 1970 Camaro candy shell instead of a Pontiac outer wrapper. Roger's road racer is much more in the spirit of what I enjoy, that's all.

Thanks for that Steve. Watching Rogers tach that motor hums along between gear shifts. Powerband right there from 4 to 6 thousand it looks like. Coming out of some of those corners the torque looks like it some what overpowers the tires...lol. He definitely pushes it.

Keeping in tune with the notation that Roger Bolliger styled his car in the same fashion as the Jerry Titus 1970 Trans Am....

The car from the original post has been discussed here a few times. My take is the car is more hype than function. They throw out lots of numbers, but has anyone seen the car run at speed? The thing that really jumps out at me is the rats nest of braided line hanging under the car. Many of them hanging under the suspension, completely exposed, only a couple of inches off the pavement.

The "carport" thing is over-hyped, as well. It was a good sized, fully enclosed, fully equipped space.

On the other hand- Roger's car is completely BAD-ASS! That thing can run!

Looks like a car one of the characters would pull out of the garage on a Fast and Furious movie.

Rogers car is Legendary!

Not what I’d build but hey at least people like the old TA still
I’d have built traditional Pontiac power but I’m not a mail
Order engine kinda guy.

I’d walk right by it at a show w that engine been there seen that. BUT it does give people a glimpse of a
Pontiac and that can’t be all bad it might just spur some people to join our groups and some may even choose real Pontiac power .

The headers are ridiculous but I feel
Like that was the whole theme of the car anyway ridiculous so it kinda fits .
And as long as the owner likes it that’s all that matters.
That’s what freedom of expression is all about and I stand w him To build whatever he likes. Not everyone will like what I build or even a stock Pontiac . Freedom is never bad.

Interesting film. It's hard to tell if the cars are black, or dark green, or dark blue. Whichever color it was the nose of the 73 car looks to be unpainted Endura nose. instead of a fiberglass replacement.
