Default 73 formula vinyl roof question

My wife is in the process of restoring her own 73 formula.
How many seams on the vinyl roof? 1centered or 2 on the edges?

She ordered a vinyl roof from what I thought was a reputable supplier as I have used them in the past.

The company told her that they had the pattern in stock on file and would get it out quickly which they did.

The problem is that her original roof has two seams and the new roof is a single centered seam.

She spoke with the company today to which they told her that 70-72 had a double seam and 73 and later is a single seam.

It seams (see what I did there?) that I may have to get involved with the company.

Any thoughts or comments?

My 72 is double seam and I don't know about 73 which is no help. I will say a single seam looks wonky to my eye.

Thanks bird for the reply.

Anyone else here with a 73 that can add some insight?

I parted a '73 late last year, had its original vinyl roof, and it had 2 seams. Here is a pic of an original '73 roof I found archived . I have been down this same road. After the company sent me one with 2 seams, I thought I was all set, WRONG. The seams were for a Tempest body and were near the drip edge. You need the measurement between the seems to verify this. I wish I had those for you.

a single seam might look better, but that sounds wrong to me.

a single seam would look like a skid mark!

One seam at the highest roof point is more noticeable than two, one on each side. Looks like someone zipped it up like a bag. I recently saw a pic of a one seam on a Lemans and it looked really weird.
