Heater problem
Got into my 70 formula the otherday to take it for a short drive and turned the heater on but no heat. I had no heat coming through the defrost or below to the floor. I had air comming out of the a/c vents but that wasnt hot either. The temp. gauge works and the temp is steady when driving or idling. Any suggestion where i should start to look for the problem? thanks for the help

Does this car have a heater core valve on the inner fender that one of the heater hoses connects to? If that stays closed it will prevent the coolant from flowing through the heater core.

could also be rust, blockage in the heater core comming from the head.

Or the cable that opens the heater door on the top of the heater box has snapped. When you adjust the hot-cold lever does it feel like it is moving anything or does it move every loosely? If there is no resistance the cable broke.

Did you check the radiator fluid level? Low level could be the problem.

Might be a good idea to check for a malfunctioning (stuck open) or missing thermostat?

Or are you frozen?
