Let me know what do you guys think of my combo except on how dirty or all the parts laying on top of the car. I do not have any room in the garage and it became my cabinet.

I like the Recaro seats best!

It looks like you have all the parts for the making of a real nasty ride.
The combo when done will make good power for sure. Look into a boost controller for turbo tuning-they are one of the best tools to manage the power. Also a O2 wide band is a must.

I figure I post some pictures even though it's not a picture friendly but when I'm done this will never happen again to my TA. It has a 73 front fiberglass conversion on it. I am mocking my midplate today so that I can start working on the header. It is going to go under side of the block. I do have all the parts except boost controller and wideband O2 system. That Recaro is from a Mustang. Black cloth with blue stripping on the edges. Bankbook I really like your car. How do you llike the car in Black? All of my cars are black BTW, I just hate them when they are not clean. It looks like s...t and all the scratches shows so much. I'm hoping the power will be there after all this conversion is done.

Black has always been my color of choice on this car. I have another 79, it is an anniversary that I will be painting soon original silver/gray. It does not due the car justice.

Just got done fabricating my midplate mount to the frame. I was going to just weld a piece of 1/4" thick angle iron but my engine builder suggested a bolt on soooooo, I made one from my 3/4" X1" in a 3" length and tap it with 2X 7/16 thread. That took a while to tap, I'll post some picture on these before I put it on. Thanks God for the chop saw and the bandsaw.

Here are my homemade bolt on angle plates but I have this steel bar that is going to get welded on the frame which sticks out about 3/4". Tapping this with 7/16" coarse thread took a long time. The angle iron is 1/4" thick so I don't think that will be the weak point.

Your combination is spot on for a lot of HP. The 88 will give you great power, even at a lower psi for an easy 900 HP and turning up the wick can get you well into the 1200-1300 level. Tuning with pump gas will be the key. As Bankbook said, using the O2 and a good boost controller will be your best friend. Unless you intend to run E85 or race gas to make the tuning easier. That's going to be one scarry Mutha. YOU GUUNA LOVE IT. LOL!!!!! Mark L

No updates yet but bought more stuff. I have traded my new GT4718 to a new PT91.5 Gtrim turbo. It has a big *** exhaust wheel. I bought a 4l80E manual valve trans from CK performance. All billet shafts and 36 element sprag, should be good for 1500hp he said. I should have that next week. I am running a Butler Wideport instead of the wenzler, I bought another Victor and modified it to match the Wideport, got a roller cam and lifter. My engine builder is a TURTLE as he haven't even touch anything yet. Grrrrr. I need some motivation so I can build my headers as this is the only thing that I need to do on my part. I hope the 91 mm turbo is not going to be a slug. I spoke to PT and they said the turbo that would be good for the cubic inch was a PT98 but I figure this would be fine then. I can't wait.

Do you have any picture of the car before you put it in storage?

I have a project underway to do a complete crate engine conversion for this car. It uses either the stock block which was made from the original short deck RAV tooling in a short deck 4.9L for approx 750HP. This when coupled with GM 6 sp auto gets well over 20mph.

The upgrade will be an aftermarket short deck block block up to 1400HP RAV.

Lynn, I would hope it does more than 20mph

Sorry Lynn, it was too funny to not point out That being said, man the fun it would be to totally smoke someone and pop the hood to show them the "lowly" 301 turbo there...heh

Here is the passenger side header that I made and have someone TIG it for me. What do you guys think. This setup will not work with stock motor mounts as I plasma cut the sides to make room for the header. This project is taking forever.
