302 ford distributor question
I'm working on my friend's 69 mustang. The engine is at TDC now, I need to know where the rotor button needs to be facing for #1 piston so I can drop it in and get everything ready to fire it. Thanks!

# 1 is between the 12 and 3 o' clock position, 302s also fire 1-5-4-2-3-7-8 counerclockwise BTW

Cool, this will get me pointed in the right direction so to speak. From the manual I was reading I'm guessing the #1 piston is on the front passenger side as opposed to the driver side like a Pontiac?

Yep, and the driver side is then 5,6,7,8 front to back if I remember right.
