Default TA stripe position

Can anyone please tell me how to locate the TRANS AM stickers on the fenders. Have looked at the old forums and I still need placement info. No early TAs in my area to look at thanks Ken

doesn't the assembly manual show this?
(I seem to recall seeing a picture that spelt out the location.)

I took these pictures of my car for you this morning. It's a 71, and the car has the original stickers on it.

As per the install sheet Pontiac's engineers specified 1.50 inches below the fender crease line and 3.50 inches inward from the rear edge of the fender. Real world evidence of original paint cars shows that Pontiac hired the services of Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder and the decals can be all over the place including nearly to the wheel opening.

Many thanks I know how cranky some folks on this forum get about decals being in the wrong position so I am trying to get this right the first time. Ken
