Default tire pressure decal

What is the correct location for the tire pressure decal on a 74 trans am?

On this 1974 lid, you can see the depression on the right side of the inside of the lid where the decal once was affixed on this rough lid. You can see the fuel decal on te opposite side.

great, thank you. someone had a reproduction decal on the driver door jam of my car, and I suspected that wasn't correct.

There should be tyre details on the clear window decals on the door, check it isn't them.

That KA decal for circa 76-77 has been available repro for a little while but now a few other early years are mentioned too, the codes probably relate to tyre size and type, along with year if it changed. There are none for 78-up.

According to this listing there is an early and late decal used for 74, check details and choose accordingly I guess:

Trans Am didn't have a 14" wheel in 1974, so doubt it is this one:

This is probably the most correct one available at this time:

Yes..however, the first decal does not make mention of ANY 15" tire size......Therefore, why would GM affix that label to a vehicle that only had a 15" tire?

Suprisingly, Google was not involved this time with obtaining the info in this thread. lol

It was not easy finding a pic of a 1974 specific glove box door, and it was missing the decal in question!

All mine used the 493738 Rev 2 (KH) decal. You can compare the differences between original and repop yourself.

I may need to start a new thread here, but can anyone tell me where to get the correct blue door handle décor decals? Ive come up empty handed with phoenix graphics and trans am specialties.

GM originally sold them in colors, then towards the end, they sold white tape stripes and had instructions to paint them to match your car, then install them on your handles. Phoenix does sell Door Handle Tape Stripe Inserts in Black, Gold, Silver, and White. You might want to buy a white pair, and paint them.

I went to a local sign shop and got a scrap of their lettering material (for free, and I have enough for a couple dozen cars) for my inserts. But, they are black. They may have a colour that will match your car though. Keep in mind the earlier cars had longer handles. What I bought from a vendor was for the shorter ones, hence me having to improvise on the fly.

Basic colours are easy from vinyl decal or sticker, metallics and similar need to be painted if you want a correct match, or mask off the chrome surround, lightly bead blast the chrome inlay and paint them directly. But the potmetal quality differs vastly.

This is what I bought for my black car 2 years ago.. enough to do a few hundred handles. They also sell these rolls in red, white and silver.
