The rear end and trunk are back together now. The interior will be finished this week. Looks like it might just wrap up in time for MCACN.

Does the rear sway bar go on last?

Hello Mike,

Steve says the last thing he puts on his cars are the grab handles and the sway bars. I think he said he sent mine out to be re-curved.

James, That car is just amazing. I can't wait to see it at MCACN! Steve is delivering his usual greatness in the restoration of your SD.

Took a trip up to Lincoln to check on the progress. They are finishing up a lot of little things, but I am confident that we will make MCACN next week. So I guess I will be seeing some of you up there. Also, I might have the color proof of the Lucerne Blue material by then. If I do, what better place to compare it to Lucy blue cars. So I will bring it along for anyone that wants to see it. Here are the latest photos:

Will do.

Norwood, Unfortunately the color proof is a piece of the material about 2" square from the material manufacturer which demonstrates only the color formulation in a small sample of the material. I will bring a piece of one of the extruded colors for you to check out.

Thanks for your comments. Steve and his crew are working tonight to get two cars ready. Mine is slated to leave for Chicago in the morning. I am going up Friday A.M.

I am looking forward to this experience. I have never shown a car before and Steve is making it really easy for me to experience this. I am very appreciative of everything he and his crew have done for me and this car. Wish me luck!

See you Friday.

Steve and crew are pros. The show is in a friendly environment. Hope to meet you and the car as well on Saturday.
