Nice shots and cool wagons. Need more pictures of GP's, 2+2's and Fieros though.

Here’s a few more including several of the Black Car. All of these pictures are from the Points Judges area. BTW there was a little drama this morning. Went to get the car out of the trailer and the dome light had been left on and the battery was dead as a stump. Luckily we found a jump box and got it going...

I just cannot get used to seeing "trucks" at a convention. That gold '70 is rather interesting though.

They really don't belong there. I think the powers of POCI thought it would help build membership.

Here’s a few more pictures, again all from the Points Judged section. Thankfully none of the parked cars spontaneously combusted and no fire extinguishers were needed.

They did come with Pontiac motors in them back in the day you know.
Nice pics Bentwheel, thanks!

Nothing like good 'ol Poncho porn. That silver '63 is sweet! I had a twin to that white '88 Fiero GT.

Yes well aware of that and I think that was the base of their arguement as why they wanted to include them.

Great pictures Bentwheel, we really appreciate the variety of Pontiacs there!!

GMC being admitted was started via prodding by Don Bougher many years ago.I think it was to be for Pontiac powered years only. But when PMD went full corporate in the 80's, I guess they decided to allow all years.

Great pics Bob.Thanks

For those of us that couldn't make it we sure do appreciate the pics Bob.

Figured the fire extinguishers were most likely a required addition.

Thanks again,
Frank

fwiw: I'm biased, since I'm a member of POCI's GMC Trucks Chapter. However, over the years since Pontiac began (1926), GMC and Pontiac have been closely allied (in addition to Pontiac V8 engines in some '55-'59 GMC trucks).

Then they should stick to '55-'59 GMC's with Pontiac engines only. 80's square bodies do not fit at a "Pontiac" convention. Take it to Trucks Carlisle.

I thought that whole argument about allowing GMCs into POCI was done years ago...please let this thread remain just about the pictures of the nice vehicles at the convention.

Is that a “thing” now to display the fire extinguisher under a front wheel? I have never seen that before. Or is it just a visual choice?

The rules state they need not be mounted to the car, but visible, and each car have their own, or the car will be disqualified.

Fantastic level of quality in those cars. Thanks for posting the pics.
PS-Same thing with the BOP show here re: fire extinguishers behind the front tire. I lost my first '68 to an engine fire though so I don't hate it.
