Default Any lawyers here? Car sale gone bad

Maybe even some of you here that are in the car business can help me.

Sold a car a few months ago and now the guy is threatening to sue over an issue that is not my fault. I'm trying to figure out if he has a case before I respond to him

I can't give out details on a public forum (it involves my company) but please pm me here if you think you can help.

Thanks!

Some states have laws that known, latent defects must be disclosed. Also, if anything in your description (verbal or written) of the car was false, and you knew it or should have known it, then it could be fraud.

Other than that, if it was sold as-is, (no warranty), then you're golden.

I am a certified paralegal which means I understand the law, but it is unethical for me to practice it. So I cannot give legal advice, but getmygoat has it right. If you knew about the issue, you could be liable. If you were unaware and the car is sold as-is, then you should be fine.
