I sold it to a guy who also bought a '69 4-speed Firebird 400 project car from me not long after he took the GTO home.

Both were original paint cars, the Firebird still had the original drivetrain.

Can't keep 'em all.

Owning that '67 GTO made me realize just how simply beautiful the styling is on them, that along with seeing Pete McCarthy's Tyrol Blue '67 Ram Air GTO super stocker going through tech one afternoon at LACR in Palmdale. I saw Pete's GTO again at my friend's shop a couple years ago sitting under a cover up on a lift. I really wish I had the space and the cash to buy it.

I'm a big '64 fan but the '67 has the best styling of all the GTOs hands-down.

i appreciate the comment. i thought they had a great retro look and they were a relative bargain now that they are out of production. the 14" rally IIs are here that came on the car originally, but i really love the bias look and wanted to move to 15s.

sweet, sweet turquoise 'vert you have there!! i've seen pics of it before, but now i can connect a person to the car - i think that's cool. such great cars on this forum from all years!!

Here is my '66. My dad (Wheelspin on PY) acquired it from the original owner in 1999. In 20 more years I'll pass it on to one of my kids hopefully.

My '67 that I've owned since 1981. Original YS 400 with turbo 400 dual gate, PS, PB, A/C, SafetyTrack. Parchment interior. Vinyl top is original (getting some cracks now), interior is original. Car had a repaint before I bought it, had '65 hub caps on steel wheels with Firestone Wide Ovals at the time. I didn't get the PHS documentation until 2015, presumably had dog dish hub caps from the factory. The car was originally sold from Valley Pontiac in Youngstown, OH.

Default here's my '67

Here's my '67. Probably not an original part on the thing.. Bought it in 1985 from the PO whose kids did all kinds of stupid things to it. It had a fresh (100mi) 455 reman engine, rebuilt Muncie, ladder bars, tinted windows, electric fuel pump mounted to the frame, unknown Qjet, headers jammed into the frame, repainted poorly in blue from the original Gulf Turquoise. Would puke coolant after heat soaking.

Stripped my previous Lemans Sprint and am using the parchment interior, console, etc. to refresh it.

Bought it because it had NO rust, unusual for a Midwest car. Gradually getting it back to what it should be. It's driveable and mechanically sound, needs cosmetics

Bought this in 1997 and never touched it until 2013. I just happened to be on vacation that year and already had a 66 GTO near completion but saw the 67 in a local classified paper and had to have it. The 66 was my first restoration attempt and came out great for a first attempt. The 67 was a total frame off with all body panels removed and repaired. As it turned out I found a pair of full quarters in Missouri and it just so happened that a guy known to the resto shop where the body and paint was done was returning to NH from Scottsdale with a near empty trailer so he picked them up on the way home for me. Interesting note: the only other thing in his rig was a pair of bikes belonging to Stephen Tyler. Anyway, here's a couple of pics of the 66 (gone now) and the 67. Hope they are enjoyed.

Here's my 66 convertible. My parents bought it new on April 6, 1966 from Bud Meadows Pontiac in Seattle. Four years later, it was the first car I rode in when i was born. I wanted it in kindergarten, and bought it on my 16th birthday in 1986 for $1,000. My son got his first car ride in it when he was born in 2007, and will likely inherit it. It is numbers matching, Marina Turquoise, 4 barrel, 4 speed, no power steering or brakes. This picture was taken on April 6, 2016 when it was 50 years old.

Import smasher. When I was in college, I worked at an auto parts store. One of my coworkers and I used to give the rivers a hard time, and one of the things we'd say is our American cars would "smash" their imports....it turned into importsmasher......

Here's mine. Had it since '83, and have put about 130,000 miles on it. Original engine, color change to '68 Flambeau Burgundy back in 1993. Car has never been apart, and has always been on the road and in use. Nothing special, just a base '67 GTO ragtop.

There's nothing "base" about a '67 GTO ragtop.
