Default wire harness modifications?

OK, my 73 formula engine harness has a couple mods i want to know
if i should keep or put back to stock. TCS switch Black wire and Temp switch
black wire (the one on rear of driver head) are tied together. I assume this is to
bypass the function of both, but i don't know. Also the yellow
wire to the starter is tied back and not used. I assume this mode was done
because an HEI or similar Dist was used at some point. I plan to run
the stock points dist, and also plan to have all TCS/EGR gear in tact but
non functioning. To do this i had no plans to alter the Harness. Plan
was to make the TCS/EGR startup relay non functional thereby stopping all
power to the TCS and EGR switches and solinoids, and using internal plugs
on the vacume lines. I know i need the resitor wire in place to run the
points dist, but now i wonder if this is still in place. I have a new stock
harness on order, but fear finding out that still need these mods.
