70 GTO NM in Indiana at $46K BIN with 100K miles. Seems reasonable for this car as it's really nice.

68 Firebird at $27K NR in NY. The ad is lacking in pics. The only shot of the interior is the restomod gauges. Has a 12 bolt posi. The car sits too high, especially for the 70's rear flares. There's things I would need to change on this car (the hood) to make it more stock, so I wouldn't be the type of buyer that this car would appeal to.

68 GTO convertible 4-speed in Florida at $30K with a reserve. Beautiful car. I've not owned a Pontiac without FDB for a long time. How would a car like this brake compared to FDB? Is the difference slight, or dramatic?

Agree - looks exceptional.

And I like the white top.

I've been looking at '68s too long. At an initial glance it shows well, but I see all sorts of stuff when I look closer.

- wrong bolts for the radiator cover/fasteners under the hood
- missing thermostatic vacuum lines on the intake
- wrong valve cover vent tube
- alternator bracket looks funky, but may be right for non PS car?
- black painted headlight bezels
- wonky endura gap at the front fender
- missing 1/4 trim, missing trunk emblem, fat door gaps, bent front valance, the GTO badge in different locations on the left and right fenders, and the way the side marker light sits in the 1/4 indicate some potentially sketchy bodywork under that paint
- painted dash bezel vs. chromed
- wrong lug nuts, trim rings and RII color
- unpainted RII spare
- washer container mounted on the driver's side fender
- hacked out dash for aftermarket stereo
- spray bombed underhood with trash and fish eyes in the paint
- different brand front and back seat covers (look at the depth of the grooves)
- wrong brake/clutch/parking brake pedal pads + pedals too high
- wrong headlight knob

Among other things...

I think this was hastily dolled up for a quick sale.

Yes, lots of things wrong. Some easily correctable, others a bit more labor/money intensive. Not to mention the PUI seat covers and whatever is under the sheet metal of a FL car.

Rear arrowhead lenses look to be for a Firebird. GTO/Lemans lenses protrude from the bezel. Some vendors are unaware of the difference

Vent window frame missing the door window runner.
As mentioned, looks nice, but...

That’s because the 68 Firebird quarter is quite flat in that area and the 68 GTO - 68-69 LeMans is very rounded.

I missed that this one is up for sale again. It was featured in Hemmings Muscle Machines a few years ago and sold on BaT relatively recently for a pretty reasonable price. It has a RAII top end on it which is how I got inspired to do mine.

They pulled the ad pretty quickly. If the seller receives an offer they'll accept, the deal is done and the ad gets pulled.

67 Resto-Rod Firebird in Connecticut at $15K reserve not met. Not the direction I would have taken it, but looks like a lot of work was done. WIW...?

We've seen this one before, but after really looking at what went into this car, I think it's a lot of work. 69 Firebird convertible in Pensylvania at $57K BIN. Looks like a frame off to me. The engine has aftermarket aluminum heads, so all the number crunchers should stop here, because this isn't a numbers matching car. Those heads allow you to run 1.0 more compression without pinging over factory heads, so they're really better. It is very nice IMO. I can't imagine doing all that work for $57K?

67 Firebird with a supercharged Corvette LS2 with AC at $90K BIN OBO in CA. The add looks odd and is lacking in pics, but a lot went into this car. I'd bet it's crazy fast.

68 GTO 4-speed in NJ at $20K reserve not met. Says it's built to Ram Air II specs. I has RA exhaust manifolds, but I can't make out what the head cast number is? .
