Yeah, people rarely pull Pontiac 296 engines from Z-28s. I'm surprised it hasn't been snapped up already.

Ha! This '65 Tempest includes the whole car for "only" $13,000. Probably still a rip off since it doesn't run. This is another seller who "knows what it's worth." (That there are a lot of collectors out there ready to pay top dollar for a non-running Tempest that's missing an interior.)

I wouldn't give him a penny over $12500 without the original TEMPEST emblem. Sheesh, what does he think we are??? LOL.

Thumbs up

I'm in support of the guy exposing a phony GTO.

A local Pontiac guy here who used to live up toward the mountains (until divorced) and I were talking one day. I mentioned a 65 in a junkyard. He admitted he had the VIN to that car and needed the trim tag off of it. That was my first indication he wasn't a "who" and in fact is/was a "what".

This is one funny ad, thanks for posting. Guessing it is not a real listing though.

1998 Honda Civic

Warning: this car is NOT for the faint of heart. Its 1.8l v4 VTEC is a real neck breaker. (VTEC means a turbo kicks in a 5000 rpm and adds power).
Has a real JDM style paintjob that cost me 8000 so this price is a steal.
This car may look small, but it has 160 factory horsepower and really goes fast!
Has the original, high-quality 4 speed automatic transmission that really helps you take off super fast.

UPGRADES:
Air filter (offbrand from walmart)
Wheels
Vents in hood for more speed
Stickers on windshield for sponsors

Don't send me a trade for your rear wheel drive or all wheel drive wannabe racecar garbage. This is a real, front wheel drive, racecar.

Nobody likes your mustangs or lame 240s so stop trying.
273k miles (low for honda)
Wanting 12,000 firm

With such a low-powered engine, especially with those awful slushbox automatics - it really does feel like a boost when you get into the bigger cam profile. I had a '94 with the 1.5L 130hp engine and a 5 speed manual. It redlined at 8,000, and normal driving required hitting at least 6,500 before shifting. Those things are damn near unbreakable, though - I once drove it at top speed (118 mph) for 14 straight hours and sold it with 250,000 miles on the clock.

What I think is funniest is the "$8,000 paintjob" on the $3,000 car.
