I thought the limited slip tag was installed backwards and folded back so you could read it?

Bob, your Formy is setting the new high-water mark for 2nd gen restorations. You, MPD, and Darrell are to be commended for the amazing work. I am honored to have that car in the MCACN Fabulous Formulas Display (note to self...don't park next to Bob's Formula).

Winner, winner, chicken dinner...

Gas tank #8 has won by default judgement even though it has a small ding. Tanks number 9 and 10 arrived today and both looked like they had been toys at a a Zoo’s Gorilla Exhibit. Somewhat akin to the old American Tourister commercial.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=B2ZeIoLz8FE

Darrell got the tank stencil applied today. Tomorrow it will be installed along with the exhaust system.

Bruce - On the AC suitcase we used 3M strip caulk liberally applied in the channel on the mounting surface.

Mike - Bring a 1/2” socket to MCACN and you can crawl under the car and adjust the Posi tag. Since that will be a Saturday, be sure to conform it to Saturday production standards. Hah. Look forward to seeing you...

Was at storage today and looked at a '73 rear end. I was mistaken. Tag was formed around the cover bulge and readable. My '74 was the same except positioned at the 7 o'clock, not 5 o'clock hole.

Looked at a '73 tire/wheel combo today. Here is the picture.

I thought you had to get permission from The Boss (not to be confused with the real boss).

I arrived early Thursday morning in Delhi, India. We are one of two US companies that have long term contracts to supply metallurgical coal to Indian state owned steel companies. I have a young sales guy who usually makes the trip, but he's been under increasing pressure to have a senior company representative also visit hence my arrival. Most of you know that on my long list of vices you'll find cigarettes and bourbon near the top of the list. Much to my surprise it turns out smoking in public is banned in India and subject to a fine. Also, today is the Diwali Festival which is a national holiday during which alcohol sales are prohibited. I'm on the 35th floor of the ITC Maurya hotel and contemplating jumping....

Meanwhile, Darrell is still moving forward in the car. We finally got the gas tank issue resolved and have a dent free gas tank that has now been installed. The exhaust is also on the car. Here is the most recent picture I have.

Feeling your pain Bob! Familiar with Diwali, used to have an Indian couple working with me. Learned a lot about the Indian culture and Hindu Religion. Just keep thinking about the Sweet Apple Pie at MCACN! And DON'T JUMP!

Here's a few pictures from last night. We spent the evening at the home of our Indian representative and celebrated Diwali with him, his family, and close friends. On the way to his house we stopped at a flower market to get an arrangement for his wife.

You stand out in a crowd Bob.

Reminds me of China & the open air markets.

Yes, his family is very old money and very well connected within the Indian caste system. He imports a lot of goods into India including met and thermal coal, fertilizer, ethanol, and oil, but is a great guy and very down to earth. In addition, he owns three restaurants in London, one of which has a Michelin Star rating.

The Diwali dinner at his house was a special treat. There were about 25 people in attendance and they all were very accomplished people with great insight on the current state of Indian business and international diplomacy efforts. The U.S. Government is making a lot of efforts to strengthen our relationship with India as a hedge against the growing influence of China. Tillerson and a large delegation will be in India next week, and this has generated a lot of optimism.

We are off to see the Taj Mahal this morning. How cool is that....
