In 1990, I bought a '70 GTO for $2,800.

4 speed, gold, black vinyl top, peg leg, gages, NOM, 3.08 very clean.

Interestingly it had open hood scoops. I thought that is they way they were suppose to be so never thought anything of it. Ram Air? Motor was gone, it had gages, and a 3.08 peg leg. Maybe the good stuff was swapped out.

Maybe I will find it again some day and look it over now that I know.

I bought a 68 GTO convertible in 1992 for $600 - we couldn't open the doors because it would have folded in half but 10 minutes under the hood & a fresh battery & we were able to drive it onto the trailer! I sold close to 2k worth of parts off the car and kept the perfect nose for my RA I car! Note: The valence was perfect too, but we had a little mishap on my trailer relating to a friend taking the back straps off & then telling me to re-align the trailer with the garage.

My first car was a 76 Cutlass Salon. Had t-tops and all. 350 motor and Trans. Blue withe white top. I loved that car. Not a real muscle car but cool to me none the less. I bought it in 1986 for $800.

Try buying a 10 year old car today for $800.

In 1989, while in the Air Force, I paid $1,900 for my '67 GTO post car with a great running, strong 455. I got into a LOT of trouble with that car.

In 1973, I paid $350 for a 68 Torino GTO convertible with a 390 4-spd. It had less than 100K miles. It was rode hard and put up wet for about two years before moving on.
