Everyone has their preferences but the thought process is the same. Not hammering the sprag on the shift. Engineering it to 'slip' a bit might be fine for a track trans being freshened up every season. The green high energy clutches in the 4L80e are designed to absorb impact but not slip. Also I wasnt suggesting the 36 sprag is overkill just recommending everything is double checked. Your trans is very fresh and with a billet hub you spent some coin. If something is out of whack you will kill the new sprag. I've been doing trannys for 20 yrs.

Yes I will check everything, it has a 300m input shaft with a bigger drum spline, FTI brake and billet hub, added clutches to the drum. The car is heavy and makes some pretty good power, it spins a bit every gear so it is not easy on the sprag. I was told about it, just did not have the money at the time. I hope it's just the sprag, I drove it home about 5 miles just using 1st to 3rd.

Default trans brake

Well I got a converter (bolt together PTC) though it was tight. I could not hold the car back on a foot brake to build boost. I finally hooked up the trans brake yesterday, and took it for a ride today. (it is hot 90 and humid)
I put it on the brake, ( I only have it on 8psi) mashed the throttle with is a few seconds I was at the 8 psi. I let the brake go just to see and melted the tires. It is amazing how power loosens the converter!!

Default driving in the rain

Went to the car show tonight, guess I did not look at the weather. Hung out a few hrs, on the south shore of Long Island, it was nice. On the way home to the north shore, wicked rain. Skinnies, drag radials in the rear, handled like a champ!. Heavy car stuck the road better than I thought. The spool is fun on turns.
I felt great about the car, I feel it is a real deal street car. I patted her on the rear bumper once I got it back in the garage. Love driving the car.

Default video, with a dragy

Got the dragy gps, really cool, records all sorts of stuff and you can customize it.
This was a virgin road, bad tires, spun 1st and some of second. I left at 5 psi and the rest of the run was 8-9 psi.

I have a bunch of suspension work I will do over the winter. Everyone shouls buy a dragy for $149!!
