Default oh yeah

Oh, If I was rich. all of the quirky vehicles I'd own. I'd be that eccentric guy with a barn full of things like this.

Yeah, I’d take one of those! I rode one at one of those tourist trap attractions and it was still fun

[QUOTE=66sprint6;6045923]They’d have to fake the data plate, then on that Chevelle? It would have to be 13837. Either way, that’s pretty low. A tribute car is one thing.
How about trying to find a period correct 396 for that one? Did they put them in other vehicles that year? I know that you could build one or get a ‘66 block, but not the same.[/QUOT

The 396came out in 1965, but in full-size and Vetts. I think. My 65 Impala SS conv. Was an early car with the409. Which was an option until they were used up. The 427 was available in66 , but not in the Chevelle. Not an expert however.

They've using these "Ducks" for water tours and there has been a few fatalities due to over loading or rough water. Might be nice drive it out for fishing in a lake, or drive out into a shallow stream to fish. Other than that, that's about it in my book.

I think you are correct, I thought the only 2-speed auto Pontiac's made in 68 were OHC-6 cars?

I had a 68 LeMans 350 powerglide back in the day. All factory. I can't speak for GTO's though. 70 MPH in first, lol.

I had a 71 Camaro with a 250 6 cylinder and a 2 speed. It sucked. LOL Tho I believe 66 was the last year for the 2 speed in a GTO.

Not a fan of that column shift, but for some reason all is forgiven in the convertible. Looks like a straight unmolested car.

Good catch. 67-69 Tempest/LeMans still used the ST300. That column and the lack of GTO badges on the door panels are screaming CLONE!!

Geezzz. I remember when a local guy had one for sale with less than 10,000 miles for $75,000. I thought was crazy money back then.

Not any more.... it's been sold. Someone has lots of green to throw away, or it will be an expensive lawn ornament.
