Check out how many miles it has on it. Holy crap. So much for the 3.8 being a turd.

336,000 miles.

I've always heard the 3.8 was a good engine.

I have a friend with a 3.8 Bonneville that has 200,00+ on it and still going strong ... I thought he was crazy when he bought it with that kind of mileage.

My ‘98 Lumina LTZ with the 3.8 was one of my favorite daily drivers ever. It had well over 200k on it when I blew a gasket on it and decided to just scrap it as I didn’t feel like wrenching on it in January! Otherwise I’m sure it would still be going

Vent window isn't latched. Must push it open to roll down the side glass so he can get inside to his pot plant green house.

Shame he got too close mowing and dented the hood.

Kindigit Design was at the Back to the 50s car show in St. Paul last week, and brought several of the cars you've seen on their TV show. If you look close up at cars built to that level for high end clients or for display at SEMA, you can see why they cost a half million or more (probably a lot more).

The old Buick 3.8 V6 was kinda a turd, but the 3800 V6 is a great engine, and the series II N/A version in that Bonneville was probably the best engine GM had ever built durability wise. Some of the newer engines may be better, but only time will tell.

N/A 3800's routinely would last over 250,000 miles. but by then the rest of the car was usually shot. And the transaxle they were bolted to had been rebuilt at least once.

The supercharged versions were good engines also, just not as long lived.

I was expecting a lot more out of a “$38,000 interior.”

Looks like he paid about $10,000 for the photos and the retouching.

This. The 3800 V6 is one of GMs best engines ever.

The 4.3s are good engines, also. Routinely go well over 200K with no issues.

I've bought a couple vehicles with that kind of mileage and discovered if they were taken care of, they turned out to be pretty good cars because when they have that kind of miles on them stuff just HAD to be repaired and replaced if you wanted to keep going down the road. My 1995 Jeep GC has 250,000 miles on it , I fixed a few minor leaks and it burns no oil and the trans shifts great. The X-fer case was replaced by a prior owner thanks to a rock. lol

No kidding, that’s not a survivor anymore. He sought out a car some kid didn’t HotRod, then pulls out a good 283 to put a 350 in it.........uh.

BUT,I think it looks like a great car and I don’t think the price is bad either

well, y'all can quibble over terms (and I agree with survivor misuse a bit) but cars in that condition are almost impossible to find. I'd buy it and not care what it was called. Good condition original interiors, trunks, etc are amazing finds. Many survivors I see hyped are often rebuilder wore out project cars.

I agree, I’d buy that car in a heartbeat. I’m surprised he’s not asking more for it
