I dunno- buy that Olds and put some modest 18” wheels on it and I think you have a pretty nice car

I agree...very pretty car, paint and interior are not so over the top like most of them.

Nope. Don't like obnoxious "look at me" two tones, clunky homebuilt consoles and speakers everywhere. There's nothing appealing about that car, and that's coming from someone who loves the '71-76 GM b-bodies(especially the convertibles) more than just about everyone on this forum. That car is awful.

Sure, an original interior might need topping up with some dollars to get it right but that done, you would have the makings of a nice car.

And hopefully, if the buyer lives near a river or creek, he can throw those ugly wheels in and use them as boat anchors. A win-win in that case.

Those big rims are obnoxious looking and the worst ride ever with the rubberband tires. I rode in a car with 22 inch rims and couldn't get out of it fast enough. Worst ride I've ever had in a car. An old B-61 Mack truck rides better.

I'm on a Yukon/Suburban forum, and it's really funny how many guys will go on there and bitch about the terrible ride with their 22s, 24s, etc and low profile tires. Mine has 20s with a good-sized sidewall, and even my wife mentioned that it rides great.

I have 22’s on my Z-71 and it rides better than the factory 18’s. They are off road tires though

Here's my take on these type and even more Donk extreme...…. (like you asked, sorry, ha)

Just from my observations I've drawn @ssumptions..... anyone can correct me if wrong.... but there seems to be a younger age set getting into vintage cars. Seems to be a niche thing with certain (sedan and convertible) favorite cars to mod. Some have thought out suspension mods to accommodate the (to me) cartoonish rims. Some have decent engine bays with tidy normalish hot rod engines. Some have crazy graphics. Some have weird cartoon (again) pastel colors. Some of these cars are well done craftsmanship.

I admit I don't understand them. My parents didn't understand Led Zeppelin. I might as well be a 21st century dude blasted into the next century trying to figure it out. But what is cool is that maybe vintage cars have a new resurgence. Maybe some crossing social and cultural (and age) boundaries is happening. Would I own one? Heck no. But I would dig going to a Donk show and seeing another aspect of hot rods I never thought I would. I think we should accept them as our weird young brothers
