On an increasingly negative note, it could be the 260 Olds power plant. Bodywork wise, I see a 1980's IMSA wanna be.

Since 260s were never painted black from the factory, it could just as easily be a 350 or a 403.

I always say that - out here in California, any car that can be daily driven is worth $2,000. If it's all the same color, isn't all dented up,, doesn't have a ripped up interior with cigarette burns, etc... the price goes up from there. That's a fair price out here: $2,900 ain't what it used to be.
The unusual financing plan is what has my attention. With only an 80% down payment, he'll carry the rest.

I missed that as the point because people really do talk that way out here. (Nobody I'd hang out with, though.)

Cool car but can't imagine what it'd cost to restore.

Friend bought a 67 GP convert last year with a ton of extra parts and NOS fender, valence and tail panel for $1200.

Engine on that GP looks absolutely untouched except or the battery cable and maybe the brake booster check valve. Would be fun to look at closely.
I'm guessing it would cost WAY more to restore than it's worth, even if they gave it away. |

A '67 Grand Prix is a one year only car? Wow....

As a convertible, yes.

Yeah, I get it. It was just funny the way the ad is worded-
"1967 Pontiac Grand Prix convertible, one year only car"

I saw this hideous 79-81 Firebird custom on CL last night, but I cant find it now. I'll keep looking, because there's no way someone bought it!

I really like 67 GP convertibles. But to make that one worth 30K you would have to spend 50-60K. Looks like a decent parts car for 5-600.00. It was a proud, cool Indian in 1967.
