Default water temperature range on gauge

I understand this is an old thread, but it really has a lot of great information related to the early 70-72 cars and then the transition into the 73-74 cars.

Thank you for covering the split wiper and lights, would anyone be willing to chime in on the water temperature gauge temperature range change from 250 to 260?
