Caught this nice '71 Impala at Wal Mart last month.
I gotta remember to set my ISO speed to 64 on these white cars. |

My brother has an 82 K10, love that thing. I have been wanting to get a beat up single cab short bed 2wd late 70s early 80s C10 and find a wrecked AWD tahoe and swap in the drive train. That would be a very nice ride

Just old stuff?
Not sure if this thread can include new stuff - but anyway, here's my neighbor's driveway

I vote "old cars only."
I took my daily driver to the car wash last week, and my daughter pointed out this one across the parking lot. "It looks like yours, Daddy." I've taught her well.

Spotted in the desert.
I was driving between Las Vegas and LA yesterday, and came across this '65 Shelby fastback making the trip. He was going about 80 - that's why I didn't do a better job taking the picture.
It was 95 degrees out there, he had all his windows open, and had stock seats. I know a lot of you guys have 650hp at the wheels and run below 160 degrees when it's 110 outside while getting 25 mpg at 130mph uphill with the a/c on, but this guy sure impressed me. The other notable sight on the drive was some jerk in a Scion that was so drunk he could barely stay within 2 lanes. When I sped up to put some distance between us, I was thwarted by traffic - he also, thinking I wanted to race, punched it. After I yelled at him and called 911, I didn't see him again - fortunately.

Waking this thread back up!
I saw this car several months ago in the lot of a body shop one town over & snapped the picture. Friday I was passing through there again and it was still sitting there, so I stopped in. $600 and I drove it onto my trailer - L03 5.0 TBI/Auto and the interior is spotless! Jeremy caught me on my way home with it.

Why would someone sell that for $600? Congrats...looks like it'd be worth that with no engine.

Emissions test only goes back 25 years, this car is exempt.
Honestly I don't know, owner had bought it from a customer 3 years ago who didn't want to spend the money to paint the hood/roof and fix the ding in the front bumper. I could sell the stereo out of it and get what I paid for it, interior is damn near perfect too.

As Chris said, emissions exempt… and CT doesn't do safety inspections anymore!

Spotted at the NHRA Finals on Sunday.
I took my son to the NHRA Finals in Pomona yesterday. As it does every time I go to an NHRA event there; it started to rain. As I made the long walk to the car with a toddler on my shoulders, I saw this '64 Tempest convertible:
To my surprise, it sported a Parchment convertible interior from a '65 LeMans or GTO. The front seats were reversed. (I see this all the time. HOW do people make that mistake?)
