I have never considered tinting one of my classic Pontiacs...I like the factory tint quite enough myself..If you're lucky enough to have it.
In this case, with the color of the car and especially with that white top..It works. Looks great!

I sure wish it had factory tint, otherwise I would have not tinted it.....have you ever been in Texas in the middle of August? The heat is a killer!!!

Joe, this car is incredible. I've been watching your progress pretty much every day from work, but wasn't able to sign in on our network. You've done an amazing job and have inspired me to restore my car someday soon!

I noticed this thread about two hours ago, and like a good book, I couldn't leave until I finished it. All I can can say is WOW! You did unbelievable freaking outstanding work! That car is beautiful. Your Poppa is a lucky dude to have a son with such incredible dedication and tenacity. I can't think of a word to adequately commend you.

Only thing now is, how can you possibly not want one for YOURSELF?

Ok guys, all done and he loved it!!! At first he was kinda confused, but then he realized he just hit the lottery. He was pretty much speechless for the most part, but when he got a hold of himself, he did get pretty emotional....he just didn't want me to see it, HAHA! But man, what a day! No doubt he will remember this day to the end.

At this point, I don't have many pictures. I was relying on everyone else to take them for me, so those will come as I have them sent to me....within a few day i hope. however, there are a few videos on facebook. I've never posted a FB video anywhere, but see if this works......

There are 2 vids from a couple different angles. The first one, you can hear some of the kids in the background making "goat" noises....this was because I told him I had bought him a "goat" to start his heard with and the kids responded with nothing short of a perfect way to throw him off. Holy crap that was hilarious!

1st Vid.....

https://www.facebook.com/video/embed...51352798480793

2nd vid....

https://www.facebook.com/video/embed...01175388093403

And a couple of pics......

That was GREAT Joe! Thanks for taking the time to let us know how it turned out. If he wants, have your dad join the forum, for he now has a beautiful Goat to maintain, and the folks here are very familiar with it. If it wasn't for this forum I don't believe I would be able to drive my cars as much as I do. That's a beautiful 69 Camaro you have! I hope you pick up on another Pontiac project soon, as you do such great work and I have enjoyed following and learning from your post.

Chuck

I've been watching this thread from the beginning and I thought I would wait until the big reveal before commenting.

Simply outstanding in every respect!!! Congrats to your dad and I wish him well, a very Happy Birthday and many, many hours of happy motoring.

Great job, Joe.

Scott

That's so cool. The goat noises were hilarious.

After all the work you put in it must have been a little surreal for the moment to have arrived. I suspect it was a little surreal for your dad too.

I hope you two got to go on a long cruise over the weekend.

This story needs to be in a magazine, or something. I would love to do something like this for my dad someday. He loves the early 50s chev pickups.
